André Feliciano is an Art Gardener who cultivates, among other things, a specific photographic culture. As Roland Barthes says in his book “Camera Lucida”, photography is most intimately associated with death, because the photographic image creates a moment that will not return, but Feliciano takes a different approach. His aim is to generate life in photography, not through images, but by developing and cultivating different kinds of photographic relationships. His photography flowers and gardens are part of this wider project.
